Several sites for writers

 Hi guys,

I know many of you are writing books, so I wanted to share some great websites that you may want to check out.

querytracker.net is a site where you can look for agents. They help you match with an agent and then you send in a query letter. If they are interested, they will contact you to send in your first 3 chapters.

querymanager.com provides you with agent resources.

Both of those sites will give you instructions on how to write a query letter.

There's also forums where you can share your work with other writers:

In November, you can get involved with NANOWRIMO where you gather with other authors and write your novel during the month of November. https://nanowrimo.org/

So check out these sites. They're great for giving you feedback and getting you started.

  1. I knew of Nanowrimo but I always did it by myself lol. If I had a community I would probably feel motivated.

  2. It's great! I literally wrote an entire book in November because the support urged me on. After the pandemic, we might consider doing Nanowrimo get togethers. Everyone would bring snacks and just sit in the same room while we all worked on our books.

  3. Ooooooh! That sounds fun! But then how long would we be able to sit down and do that? Our meetings don't last that long, so it'd be nice to spend more than near an hour together 0\(;o;)

  4. We did them on weekends and evenings 3x a week. On Sundays, we sat for 5 hours. As long as we had munchies, we were good. :-)

  5. They wouldn't have to be meetings.....just writing get-togethers. And as a club, we will be able to do more outside stuff anyway. The other clubs take part in volunteer projects and things. Did you see the club live video thing we did last week?

  6. I did not. Sorry, just scoured for it now and will share it with any other members who came across this. https://youtu.be/m_u5YYPK4L4
